Professional Fees
The fee for service generally covers a 45 minute session. Full payment of fees are due and payable at the beginning of each session unless otherwise agreed upon. Psychological testing fees are a flat rate and determined based on the assessment (tests that are administered).
If you become involved in legal proceedings that require my participation, you will be expected to pay for my professional services. Due to the difficulty of legal involvement, I charge an increased rate for preparation and attendance at any legal proceeding.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
I require 24 hours advance notice of appointment cancellation or rescheduling. Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, so I cannot waive the cancellation fee if you “make up” or reschedule your missed session with less than 24 hours notice. The full fee will be charged for missed or cancelled sessions without such notification.
Confidentiality
All information disclosed within our session is confidential and will not be released without written permission except where disclosures are required by law. Disclosures may be required in the following circumstances: when there is a reasonable suspicion of child or elder abuse: when there is a reasonable suspicion that the client presents a danger of violence to themselves or others. Disclosure may also be required pursuant to a legal proceeding.
Insurance Reimbursement
I do not accept insurance. If you have a PPO health insurance policy, it will usually provide some reimbursement for mental health treatment. At your request I will fill out forms that you may submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement. You are responsible for full payment of my fees regardless of your insurance company’s reimbursement. It is important that you find out exactly what mental health services your insurance policy covers.

I am not immediately available by phone. My telephone is answered by a voice mail system that I check frequently. I will make every effort to return your call within 24 hours. If you are difficult to reach, please inform me of some times when you are available. Although I have email on my website it is only used for scheduling or cancellation of appointments.
